Cablevision Enough Already

I've been a loyal subscriber to this brand of cable access for the past 14 years. I find it prudent to speak out against all of the recent problems the subcribers have had to endure over the past few months. First we had to accept losses of endearing stations such as Food Network and HGTV until said time as a deal was reached with thier parent companies and the cable provider. This was truly disheartening for the loyal fans of such informative programs, but we endured the storm of finger pointing and corporate name calling. The fans of both networks launched a storm of phone calls and emails that forced the corporate bigwigs to reach a settlement. There hasn't been much of a time lapse since the last fiasco, and now here we go again. The parent company of ABC has now decided to pull it's programing prior to one of television's largest viewer night's. The subcribers to cablevision were practically forced to miss Sunday's NBA action, as well as nearly missing the television event of the year in the Academy Awards. Enough already!!! We the subcribers of cablevision don't hold only our cable provider responsible, but we hold the greedy corporate heads just as copable. It's high time that we organize and boycott these current day Scrooges and let them know that the buck stops here.
The days of holding the viewing public hostage for profit are over and we're not going to take it anymore.

Fabian Theater

The Fabian's back!! Those of us who are lifelong residents of the city of Paterson, NJ can recall the good old days. I can remember gathering up $1.50 on Saturdays and going to the old Fabian theater on church st. just to see a kung fu movie. I also remember Easter Sunday's after church going to the movies too see the latest horror film, I was merely a child back then , but now I'm an adult with a treasure trove for a memory.
It's truly sad that the average high school student in the city of Paterson, nj has never even been inside one of the city's movie theaters. This is heightened by the fact that they've all been closed since they all were born. The last movie ran in our fair city was more than 23 years ago.
Well fellow Patersonians don't be dismayed because there is a new light on the horizon.
Thanks to privately owned business we have a new theater in Paterson, it is affectionately refered too as Fabian 8 cinema. There is a sense of nostalgia with the name, but don't get it twisted as the kids of today would say, that's just the name and there is no affiliation with the original Fabian. This is a new and improved venue. There are 8 beautiful screening rooms, and the staff is comprised of patersonians who love their work and most importantly love their city.
This is a coup for the city and we as residents should shout it from the rooftops "The Fabian's Back". Let's once again have pride in our fair city.
