Blizzard 2010

There seems to be a dead silence over the city of Paterson, with the occassional blare and screeching of an emergency vehicle's siren. Once again, as in the not so distant past, we as a city are at the mercy of "Mother Nature's Fury".
The streets are empty. The only signs of life are the few who dare to venture outdoors just to store up on life's essentials. Just the thought of traversing snow mounds, snowplows clearing the roadways and hurling salt, or children outside playing in their winter wonderland is enough for me to yearn for a new life in a more tropical environment.
I walked the streets and only came across a select few individuals who were out for a completely diffrent necessity, they wer on the prowl for the ever so elusive drug dealers. One would shutter and cringe knowing that in the midst of such white purifying beauty, there is still a dark side to an act of God. I've seen Nature at her worst, yet it pales in comparison to man at his/her worst.
I say to those off from school or work enjoy your break, and to those wanting a diffrent type of powder(cocaine, crack, heroin) seek and ye shall find, and know that whatever is done in the dark will soon come to light.
